of <h1>India Amends Handbook of Procedures to Define Unit Approval Committee Composition Under Foreign Trade Policy.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has issued a public notice to amend the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1), 2009-14. Under the authority of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-14, a new paragraph, 6.31, is inserted to define the composition of the Unit Approval Committee. The committee will include the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, the Jurisdictional Commissioner of Central Excise & Customs, a Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, a Joint/Deputy Development Commissioner of the Zone, and any other departmental or agency nominee as a special invitee. This amendment is made in the public interest.
