of <h1>India Suspends Instruction No. 34 on SEZ Act Implementation; New Guidelines Issued to Commissioners and State Officials.</h1> The Government of India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued Instruction No. 45 on November 30, 2009, regarding the implementation of the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) Act and SEZ Rules, 2006. This instruction addresses all Development Commissioners, Chief Commissioners of Customs, and Chief Commissioners of Excise, indicating that a previous instruction (No. 34) dated August 31, 2009, is temporarily suspended. The communication is also copied to the Chief Secretaries of all states and Union Territories for their awareness and compliance.
