of <h1>Additional Commissioner appointed as RTI first appellate authority for Chennai-III Preventive Commissionerate u/s 5, effective immediately.</h1> An Additional Commissioner of Customs is nominated as the Appellate Authority for Chennai-III (Preventive Commissionerate) under section 5(1) and 5(2) of the Right to Information Act, 2005, in pursuance of the referenced prior order, with immediate effect. This designation establishes the competent first appellate forum for appeals against decisions of the Central Public Information Officer/RTI authorities within the said Commissionerate, and directs that RTI first appeals for that formation be filed and decided by the nominated officer from the effective date.
