of <h1>Rs.20 transshipment fee removed; ULD temporary import rules aligned with container rules, Continuity Bond and UIN tracking required</h1> The notice eliminates the Rs.20 transshipment permit fee and harmonizes procedures for temporary import/movement of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) with marine-container rules, permitting air carriers/console agents to import ULDs under a Continuity Bond; tracking devices/data loggers must bear Unique Identity Numbers and meet aviation security guidelines, with carriers responsible for proving export within prescribed periods. Exemptions do not cover non-affixed tracking devices. Existing rules apply where other importers temporarily move containers. Use of an All-India National Transhipment Bond and ICEGATE filing is encouraged; ULDs may be treated on a 'said to contain' basis for custodians.
