of <h1>ICETABs extended to export examination and clearance processes from June 19, 2025</h1> The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has extended the use of ICETABs (Integrated Customs Electronic Tablet) to export examination and clearance processes effective June 19, 2025. Previously implemented for import examinations, ICETABs enable examining officers to digitally view shipping bill details, examination orders, and supporting documents without requiring paper documentation. Officers can enter examination reports directly on the device and upload four cargo images to the e-sanchit repository. Prior permission from Assistant Commissioners is required for cases where ICETAB cannot be used. Commissioners must conduct weekly reviews to resolve implementation difficulties in consultation with DG Systems.
