of <h1>SEBI Extends Timeline for Top Listed Entities to Verify Market Rumors to February and August 2024.</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has extended the timeline for the implementation of the requirement for top listed entities to verify and address market rumors. Originally set to begin on October 1, 2023, for the top 100 listed entities and April 1, 2024, for the top 250 entities, the new effective dates are February 1, 2024, and August 1, 2024, respectively. This extension is issued under the authority of the SEBI Act, 1992, and the Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
