Automatic, coordinated extension of trading hours across exchanges is triggered by specified timing cutoffs to permit orderly closure of intraday positions, with rules for cessation on the affected exchange if normalcy is not restored. Exchanges must adopt a uniform close-out policy and MIIs must update and board-approve their BCPs.
