SEBI Updates Mutual Funds Regulations: AMCs Must Disclose Scheme-Wise Investments Quarterly, Effective August 3, 2022.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has revised the definition of 'associate' in the SEBI (Mutual Funds) Regulations, 1996, effective from August 3, 2022. Asset Management Companies (AMCs) are now required to disclose scheme-wise investments in securities of entities excluded from this definition. These disclosures, detailing the ISIN-wise value of investments and their percentage of the scheme's Assets Under Management (AUM), must be published on both the AMCs' and the Association of Mutual Funds in India's (AMFI) websites within a month after each quarter ends. This directive aims to protect investors and regulate the securities market.
