of <h1>SEBI Withdraws GST Exemption: 18% Tax Now Applies to Fees and Charges from July 18, 2022.</h1> The circular issued by SEBI on July 18, 2022, informs all market infrastructure institutions, registered intermediaries, and companies involved in securities listing that the exemption from Goods & Services Tax (GST) on services provided by SEBI has been withdrawn. As per the GST Council's recommendation from its June 2022 meeting, and subsequent notification on July 13, 2022, SEBI's fees and charges are now subject to an 18% GST rate, effective immediately from July 18, 2022.
