of <h1>Companies Can Hold 2022 AGMs via Video Conference Until December 31, Deadline Unchanged per Companies Act 2013.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a circular allowing companies to hold their Annual General Meetings (AGMs) for the year 2022 via Video Conference (VC) or Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM) by December 31, 2022. This decision follows previous circulars and clarifies that it does not extend the deadline for holding AGMs under the Companies Act, 2013. Companies failing to comply with the prescribed timelines will face legal consequences under the Act. This circular has been approved by the Competent Authority.
