of <h1>MEIS Benefits End December 31, 2020; RoDTEP Scheme Introduced for Exported Products; Framework Pending Consultation.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified the continuation of the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and the introduction of the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme. MEIS benefits will be available for items listed in Appendix 3B, Table 2, only until December 31, 2020. Items included in the RoDTEP Scheme will be removed from MEIS coverage. A detailed operational framework for RoDTEP will be released separately in consultation with the Department of Revenue. This notice follows the Cabinet's approval of RoDTEP on March 13, 2020.
