<h1>India Revises Import Policy: Ethyl Alcohol Now 'Restricted', License Required via DGFT Form ANF-2M.</h1> The import policy for 'Ethyl Alcohol and other spirits, denatured, of any strength' has been revised from 'Free' to 'Restricted' as per Trade Notice No. 27/2019-20 issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 29, 2019. Importers must now apply for a license using form ANF-2M and submit a specified proforma along with their application. Licenses will be issued by DGFT on an AU basis without needing further consultation with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. This change requires all applicants to provide the necessary information for processing their applications.
