(NT.</h1> The circular clarifies that hydrogenated vegetable oil, even after undergoing chilling, remains eligible for the Money Credit Scheme under Notification No. 45/89-C.E. (NT). The chilling process, which involves controlled cooling to achieve a desired texture, does not constitute 'further preparation' that would alter its classification under heading 1504. The Central Board of Excise & Customs, in consultation with the Chief Chemist, determined that the texturization process does not change the chemical composition of the oil. Therefore, the oil retains its classification under sub-heading 1504.00, ensuring continued eligibility for money credit. Pending disputes should be resolved according to these guidelines.
