of <h1>DGFT Restricts Gold Dore Imports: Only BIS-Licensed Refineries Eligible for Authorization under Exim Code 71081200.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a trade notice regarding the import of gold dore, classified under Exim Code 71081200 as 'Restricted' per ITC(HS), 2017. Effective from June 1, 2018, only refineries with a valid BIS license, which requires NABL accreditation, can apply for import authorization. New applicants with NABL certification can import up to 1 MT of gold dore to obtain a BIS license. No further authorizations will be granted without a BIS license. This decision follows discussions with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
