This certificate must accompany applications submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for a No Objection Certificate. During the interim period, Customs will conduct more thorough physical examinations of imported cargo to prevent the import of unwanted materials disguised as waste paper. Consignments lacking the necessary pre-shipment inspection certificate will not be permitted to unload at Indian ports. This directive has been approved by the Competent Authority.
