of <h1>Non-Basmati Rice Exports Now Eligible for 5% MEIS Benefits Under Updated Foreign Trade Policy (2015-2020.</h1> Amendments have been made to the Appendix 3B, Table 2 of the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) under the Foreign Trade Policy (2015-2020). Effective from November 26, 2018, to March 25, 2019, certain non-Basmati rice items, including husked (brown) rice, parboiled rice, other rice varieties, and broken rice, are now eligible for MEIS benefits at a rate of 5%. These changes were announced by the Director General of Foreign Trade to enhance export incentives for these rice categories.
