of <h1>DGFT Updates Foreign Trade Policy Handbook: New Procedures for Temporary Export of SCOMET Items for Exhibitions and Tenders.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has amended the Handbook of Procedures of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2015-20 by including Paragraph 2.79 D to establish procedures for exporting SCOMET items for display, exhibition, tenders, and similar purposes. Export authorizations are granted on a temporary basis without requiring an end-user certificate, provided there are no commercial transactions or technology transfers involved. Applications must include proof of event participation and an undertaking to return the items to India within a specified period. The Chairman of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group (IMWG) will approve applications, with subsequent confirmation in IMWG meetings.
