of <h1>CBIC Updates Authorized Lab List for Customs Testing; New Labs Added for Seafood, Spices, Chemicals, and More.</h1> The circular from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs, dated May 17, 2018, updates the list of outside laboratories authorized to test samples for customs purposes. This update supplements a previous circular from November 2017 and includes additional laboratories identified by the CRCL. Principal Commissioners of Customs are instructed to issue public notices to inform relevant parties. The circular also invites feedback on any difficulties encountered. The annexure lists specific items and corresponding laboratories for testing, covering various commodities such as seafood, spices, minerals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, and industrial materials.
