of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Export Obligation for Imports Under SION Now 90 Days from Customs Clearance.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 4J of the Hand Book of Procedures 2015-2020 under the Foreign Trade Policy. Specifically, the amendment revises the entry at Serial No. 10, which pertains to the import items allowed under the notified Standard Input Output Norms (SION) or prior fixation of norms by the Norms Committee for the export of items covered under Chapters 7 and 15 of the ITC(HS) Classification. The export obligation period for these imports, subject to pre-import conditions, is now set at 90 days from the date of customs clearance.
