of <h1>New Customs Procedures for Container Exports via Land: Faster Clearance, ECTS Seals, Effective April 15, 2018.</h1> The circular outlines updated customs procedures for exporting cargo in containers and closed trucks from Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and Container Freight Stations (CFSs) through Land Customs Stations (LCSs). It addresses concerns about delays at borders, particularly at Petrapole, and introduces measures for faster clearance, including the use of Electronic Cargo Tracking System (ECTS) for transshipment to Nepal and Bangladesh. Exporters must file a Shipping Bill via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), and cargo must be sealed with an ECTS seal. Unauthorized unsealing will trigger examination and possible legal action. Previous circulars are superseded effective April 15, 2018.
