Revised Export Procedures for Container Cargo from ICDs to Bangladesh and Nepal via LCSs Announced by Customs Board.
The circular issued by the Central Board of Excise & Customs outlines revised procedures for exporting container cargo from Inland Container Depots (ICDs) and Container Freight Stations (CFSs) in India to Bangladesh and Nepal. The facility for cargo movement is now extended to include Land Customs Stations (LCSs) at Petrapole and Gede on the Indo-Bangladesh border, and Raxaul and Nautanwa (Sonauli) on the Indo-Nepal border. The changes are in response to industry representations and aim to streamline export processes. Relevant authorities are instructed to disseminate this information and report any implementation challenges to the Board.
