of <h1>New Rules for Raw Cashew Nut Imports: Customs Bond Waived, Random Sampling for Testing, 2004 Circular Suspended.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended conditions for the import of raw cashew nuts. Until the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare's Technical Committee determines if raw cashew nuts fall under the PFA Act, customs will release consignments without requiring a customs bond for re-processing. Customs will randomly sample and send raw cashew nuts for testing to PFA authorities, but clearance will not be delayed for test results. The provisions of a previous circular from 2004 are suspended during this interim period. This amendment has been approved by the competent authority.
