of <h1>DGFT Clarifies Import Rules: Restricted Items Allowed Under Advance Authorization Scheme Per Foreign Trade Policy 4.1.13.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) addresses concerns regarding the import of restricted items under the Advance Authorization Scheme. Certain field formations of DGFT and Customs Authorities have been preventing the import of such items, as specified in Notifications No. 63/2008 and 64/2008. The DGFT clarifies that, according to paragraph 4.1.13 of the Foreign Trade Policy, restricted items can be imported for export production under the scheme, provided they remain under actual user conditions. Prohibited items or those reserved for State Trading Enterprises are not permitted. This clarification is issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
