of <h1>DGFT Clarifies Exporters Must Detail 22 Sensitive Items in DFIA Scheme for Import-Export Correlation.</h1> The circular addresses concerns from trade and industry regarding difficulties in clearing import consignments due to the lack of a corresponding policy circular from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on the correlation of inputs with exported products under the Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) Scheme. It clarifies that exporters must specify technical details for 22 sensitive items listed in the Handbook of Procedures, Volume 1, paragraph 4.55.3, to establish a nexus with the exported product. For other inputs, such correlation is not required unless specified in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION). This clarification is issued with DGFT approval.
