of <h1>Clarification: Correlation of Inputs with Export Products Required Only for Specified Items Under DFIA Scheme, per Para 4.55.3.</h1> The circular addresses the correlation of technical characteristics, quality, and specifications of inputs with export products under the DFIA Scheme. It clarifies that only for products specified in paragraph 4.55.3 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.I 2004-09, is it necessary to establish such correlations. Importers have faced difficulties due to Customs' insistence on correlation for all imports under the scheme. The Board clarifies that this requirement applies only to specified products unless otherwise prescribed by SION. Public notices and standing orders should be issued for guidance, and any implementation issues should be reported to the Board.
