of <h1>Logistics Hub in Vallur Village Designated as 'Customs Area' for Import and Export Operations u/s 8(b) of Customs Act.</h1> The premises of a logistics company in Vallur Village, Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District, have been designated as a 'Customs Area' under Section 8(b) of the Customs Act, 1962. This area, spanning 38.74 acres with a 30,000 sq. ft. covered shed and a 226,800 sq. ft. open paved area, is allocated for the examination and clearance of imported cargo in FCL containers and the handling of export cargo under customs supervision. Specific procedures for import and export cargo handling are outlined in previous public notices issued by the Customs House.
