of <h1>Kolkata's British India Steam Navigation Jetty Designated as Customs Area for Fly Ash Transport to Bangladesh Until 2008.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs (Port) Kolkata has declared a 1.16-hectare area of the British India Steam Navigation Jetty as a 'Customs Area' under the Customs Act, 1962, effective until November 1, 2008. This designation is for the loading of fly ash for transport to Bangladesh via riverine routes. The specified area, located at Bhutghat, Garden Reach Road, Kolkata, is bounded by the Hooghly River to the north, KoP.T. office to the south, Temple/South Eastern Railway property to the east, and F.C.I. occupied area to the west. The Inland Waterway Authority of India is responsible for maintaining fencing and security.
