of <h1>Chennai Customs Expands ICD Area by 2434 Sq Meters for Import/Export u/s 8(b) of Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs, Chennai, has issued Public Notice No. 161/2013, dated 23-7-2013, notifying an additional covered area of 2434 square meters at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) of Indev Logistics Pvt. Ltd. as a 'CUSTOMS AREA' under Section 8(b) of the Customs Act, 1962. The newly designated customs area is located on the North-West side of the ICD, covering parts of Survey Nos. 134 and 138, and is intended for handling import and export cargo. The boundaries are defined by adjacent plots and existing facilities, with the notice effective from 25-7-2013.
