of <h1>Indian Kabuli Chickpeas Approved for FPS Benefits Under Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14, Exempt from Pulse Export Ban.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified that Indian Kabuli Chickpeas are eligible for benefits under the Focus Product Scheme (FPS) of the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14. Despite a general prohibition on pulse exports, Kabuli Chana is exempt from this ban, and Indian Kabuli Chickpeas are considered the same product. The Policy Interpretation Committee confirmed that these chickpeas are classified as 'Edible Vegetables' under Chapter 7 of the ITC(HS) Code. Consequently, all regional authorities are instructed to grant FPS benefits for the export of Indian Kabuli Chickpeas and resolve any pending applications accordingly.
