of <h1>New Guidelines for 2008-09 Import of Rough Marble: Set Floor Prices for Blocks and Slabs Announced.</h1> The circular issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade outlines revised guidelines for the import of rough marble blocks and slabs for the year 2008-09. It amends previous policy circulars by setting a floor price for licenses: US$ 275 per metric tonne for crude or roughly trimmed marble and rough marble blocks, and US$ 450 per metric tonne for slabs. These prices are to be endorsed on all import licenses. The circular is directed to all licensing authorities and commissioners of customs, and it has been approved by the competent authority.
