of <h1>DGFT Confirms Deletion of SION for Food Products; Restrictions on Importing High-Duty Agri Items Remain Effective.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade clarifies that the Standard Input Output Norms listed in Public Notice No.31 dated 14.12.04 for certain food products remain deleted, despite an oversight in the Handbook of Procedures. Additionally, Public Notice No.63 dated 28.3.05 prohibits applications for importing specific agricultural items, including certain oils, cereals, spices, and fruits/vegetables with duties over 30%. These provisions are reflected in the updated Handbook of Procedures. Licensing authorities are instructed not to increase the CIF value for licenses issued before 28.3.05 for exports made on or after that date. Compliance is required from all regional licensing authorities.
