Circular 25/2005-Cus: ISO 9000 Certified Exporters Can Use In-House Tests for Drawback, DEEC, and Pass Book Schemes.
Circular No. 25/2005-Cus amends Circular No. 57/97-Cus to allow manufacturer-exporters with any ISO 9000 series certification to use in-house test results for goods exported under Drawback, DEEC, and Pass Book Schemes. This decision follows recommendations from the Conference of Chief Commissioners of Customs, acknowledging that ISO 9001, ISO 9002, and ISO 9003 are equivalent. The amendment aims to facilitate exports by extending in-house testing privileges beyond those with ISO 9002 certification. Other provisions of the original circular remain applicable. Public notices and standing orders will be issued to guide implementation.
