of <h1>TRA Facility Expanded to Non-Notified Locations Under DEPB Scheme for Greater Import Flexibility.</h1> The circular extends the Telegraphic Release Advice (TRA) facility under the Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) Scheme to non-notified places, allowing imports from any notified sea-ports or airports. This change addresses issues where DEPB scrips issued for non-notified places remain unused due to limited import opportunities from certain countries. Customs Houses issuing TRAs must maintain detailed records, ensuring imports align with the DEPB scrip specifications to prevent misuse. The Assistant or Deputy Commissioner in charge will oversee the proper accounting of goods imported under this scheme. This circular replaces the earlier Circular No. 47/2001-Cus.
