It allows various entities like shipping agents, MTOs, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, and consolidators to undertake LCL consolidation, expanding beyond just shipping lines. Custodians are permitted to use both owned and leased containers for LCL cargo transport. Additionally, LCL cargo cleared at gateway ports or nearby CFSs can now be stuffed into containers with cargo from inland ICDs/CFSs, with necessary documentation adjustments. These changes aim to facilitate trade and streamline cargo handling processes.
