of <h1>Service Tax Valuation Rules 2006: Established Under Section 94 of Finance Act 1994, Effective April 19, 2006</h1> The Service Tax (Determination of Value) Rules, 2006 were established by the Central Government under the authority of section 94 of the Finance Act, 1994. These rules are designed to determine the value of services for the purpose of levying service tax. They are officially titled as such and became effective upon their publication in the Official Gazette on April 19, 2006, as per Notification No. 12/2006-Service Tax.
