<h1>India-Zambia Double Tax Avoidance Agreement to Prevent Evasion, Ensure Fair Taxation, Effective After Legal Formalities Completed.</h1> This Convention between India and Zambia will become effective once both countries complete the necessary legal formalities and notify each other through diplomatic notes exchanged in Lusaka. Once in force, the Convention will apply to income in India from any assessment year starting on or after April 1, 1979, and in Zambia for any charge year beginning on or after the same date. This agreement is part of the Double Tax Avoidance Agreements aimed at preventing tax evasion and ensuring fair taxation between the two nations.
