Baggage items (firearms, cartridges, tobacco, alcohol, bullion, television) are restricted under the Baggage Rules. Annexure I to the Baggage Rules, 2026 lists categories of baggage subject to restriction under rules 3, 5 and 7: firearms and cartridges, quantified tobacco limits, a two litre limit on alcoholic liquor and wines, gold or silver other than ornaments, and televisions, establishing items that exceed personal baggage allowances or require special customs clearance.
