of <h1>Indian Constitution Amended by 93rd Amendment Act, 2005; Effective from January 20, 2006, Following Presidential Assent</h1> The Constitution (Ninety-third Amendment) Act, 2005, enacted by the Indian Parliament, received presidential assent on January 20, 2006. This legislative amendment aims to further modify the Constitution of India. The Act is officially titled as such and its commencement date is set by the Central Government through a notification in the Official Gazette. It came into effect on January 20, 2006, as per the notification S.O. 72(E).
