This legislation further amends the Constitution of India and was enacted by Parliament in the sixty-third year of the Republic. The Act specifies that it shall come into force on a date determined by the Central Government through official notification. Per subsequent notification S.O. 2902(E), the amendment became effective from October 1, 2013.
