of <h1>10% Surcharge on Customs Duties for Specific Goods Under Tariff Act, Excluding Duties in Section 2A and Section 58</h1> A 10% surcharge on customs duties is imposed on goods specified in the First Schedule to the Tariff Act, as amended by this or any subsequent Act, or as per Central Government notifications. This surcharge is additional to the total customs duty, excluding duties under section 2A of the Tariff Act or section 58 of this Act. This provision was effective until March 31, 1965, with the General Clauses Act, 1897 applying post-cessation as if the provision had been repealed by a Central Act.
