of <h1>Section 4 of Emblems and Names Act prohibits registration of entities with improper emblems or names per Section 3.</h1> Section 4 of the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950 prohibits the registration of companies, firms, trademarks, designs, or patents that bear any name or emblem in violation of Section 3 of the Act. This restriction applies regardless of other laws in force. If there is uncertainty about whether an emblem is specified in the Schedule or is a close imitation, the competent authority can refer the matter to the Central Government, whose decision is final.
