Provisional declarations take immediate legal effect until replaced by enactment, government notification, or statutory expiry. A declared provision takes immediate legal effect on the expiry of the day the Bill containing it is introduced. That provisional force ends when the provision comes into operation as an enactment (with or without amendment), when the Central Government notifies, following a Parliamentary motion, that it shall cease, or, failing those events, upon the expiry of the seventy-fifth day after introduction.
