of <h1>Mandatory GST registration for overseas online money gaming suppliers serving users in India under CGST Section 24 amendment</h1> Section 24 of the CGST Act is amended to insert a new category of persons required to obtain compulsory registration: every person supplying online money gaming from a place outside India to a person in India. The amendment also makes a consequential drafting change by omitting the word 'and' at the end of clause (xi) to accommodate the additional clause. The operative effect is to bring cross-border suppliers of online money gaming to recipients in India within the mandatory GST registration framework, irrespective of any registration threshold otherwise applicable.
