          <h1>Validation of past customs actions: retroactive recognition of acts and officer notifications under amended customs law.</h1> Provision retroactively validates actions, duties and notifications under specified chapters of the Customs Act as previously undertaken, deems notifications appointing or assigning officer functions valid for all purposes including section 6, treats the amended versions of sections 2, 3 and 5 as having always been effective, and requires pending proceedings arising from such actions to be disposed of under the Customs Act as amended.
