of <h1>Section 2 of SEZ Act, 2005 amended to include trusts and notified entities under recognized entities.</h1> Section 2 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has been amended by the Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Act, 2019. In clause (v), the amendment inserts the words ', trust or any entity as may be notified by the Central Government' after 'local authority'. Additionally, the phrase 'authority or company' is replaced with 'authority, company, trust or entity'. This change expands the types of entities recognized under the Act to include trusts and other entities notified by the Central Government.
