SEZ definition expansion adds trusts and notified entities to the list of eligible developers under the Act. Section 2 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 is amended to insert 'trust or any entity as may be notified by the Central Government' after 'local authority' in clause (v), and to substitute 'authority or company' with 'authority, company, trust or entity,' thereby widening the statutory definition to include trusts and centrally notified entities within the scope of that clause.
