Duties drawback rules establish the governing framework for customs and central excise drawback claims and nationwide commencement. The Central Government, exercising powers under the Customs Act and the Central Excise Act, enacts the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 2017; the rules are titled accordingly, extend to the whole of India, and come into force on the specified commencement date by notification.
