Electronic records obligations require backup restorability, production on demand, and disclosure of access credentials. Registered persons must maintain proper electronic backups to enable restoration after loss; on demand they must produce authenticated records in hard copy or electronically; and where records are stored electronically they must provide file details, necessary passwords or access information and a sample printed copy of stored information.
