Reserve Bank may approve additional foreign exchange beyond standard limits under Regulation 6(2) through block allocation process
The Reserve Bank may approve block allocation of foreign exchange to an Indian party that has exhausted its limit under Regulation 6(2), subject to necessary terms and conditions. Applications are considered based on factors specified in Regulation 9(3). This provision allows parties to obtain additional foreign exchange beyond standard limits through Reserve Bank approval. The regulation was part of the Foreign Exchange Management framework governing transfer or issue of foreign securities, though it has since been superseded by subsequent notifications.
