Acknowledgement of receipt: mandatory signed, sealed forms and immediate recordkeeping when arrest orders and material are forwarded.

Rule requires the Adjudicating Authority or its designated officer to complete, sign and affix the office seal to the acknowledgement form on receipt of the outer sealed envelope and forwarding form, return that form to the Arresting Officer, and on opening the envelope to complete, sign and seal the inner acknowledgement form before forwarding it to the Arresting Officer; the Authority must maintain registers (acknowledgement slip register, dak register and receipt register) and make immediate entries recording receipt of the order of arrest and accompanying material.
