Tenure limits: Chairperson and Members serve fixed five-year terms with age cap and Chairperson ineligible for reappointment. The Rules set tenure for Chairperson and Members at a term of five years from assumption of office, subject to earlier cessation upon attaining the age of 65 years; the Chairperson is expressly not eligible for re-appointment. An amendment substituted the earlier retirement age with 65 effective from the amendment date.
